What it does

A free, rules-based decision tool on CoreStak for one task your business does again and again.

Pick one task and work through five short parts about time, steps, mistakes, information, and where people matter. The tool follows set rules in your browser. AI doesn't evaluate your answers.

Use it when

You might want this if you're...

  • Running a small business and weighing a change to one recurring task.
  • Managing work that takes time, causes mistakes, or needs a person to make the call.

What you get

A next move and a reason to test it.

  • A suggested next move: AI help, ordinary automation, existing software, clearer steps, a person in charge, more investigation, or no change.
  • An Opportunity Brief with reasons, risks, a first test, and questions you still need to answer.

How to use it

Bring one task you can describe.

  1. Open the tool on CoreStak. You don't need an account, email, or software setup.
  2. Pick one recurring task. Describe how it starts, what happens, and how it ends, without names or private details.
  3. Answer based on how the work happens today. Use Not sure when you don't know.
  4. Read the suggested next move and first test. Use Print or save if you want to keep the brief.

The principle

Find the problem before choosing the technology.

Start with the work you want to improve. The tool may suggest a simpler process, an app you already have, human judgment, more facts, or leaving it alone.

Privacy and reliability

Your answers and the limits of the result.

  • Your assessment answers stay in the open tab. They aren't sent to CoreStak, an AI service, or analytics, and reloading or closing the tab clears them.
  • CoreStak uses Google Analytics for page and usage events, including assessment starts and completions. Those events don't include your answers.
  • CoreStak also saves visit information in browser storage, such as the page you arrived on and campaign tags. That record doesn't include your assessment answers.
  • Keep names, passwords, payment details, health information, and private files out of your description.
  • The result is a starting point. It doesn't inspect your apps, verify your data, prove a tool is safe, or replace a person's review.
  • Print or save opens your browser's print controls. PDF options depend on your browser and device.

SYNTHETIC EXAMPLE

Copying estimate details into a job schedule.

Imagine a small HVAC business copying checked details into its schedule each day. The steps and rules stay the same. In a made-up test of that task, the live tool suggested simple automation. That result depends on the answers you give.

About this resource

The useful details.

Built from real work

Built from my CoreStak work.

This grew out of my CoreStak work on practical AI opportunities for small businesses. I built it to help sort out what the work needs before choosing a tool. CoreStak maintains the assessment. ResourceStak gives it a place in this library.

Usage and reuse

Use it as a starting point.

Use the brief to decide what to investigate or test next. Keep a person responsible for decisions that affect customers, money, safety, or trust.
